TEMPLATES
Earth and Space is the smallest of small businesses possible. Programs and Projects as well as Divisions and Sections are terms borrowed from NASA et al structure that effectively keeps Earth and Space's simple-minded efforts organized. Think 'Very Small Biz' in a cozy office, creative mind, and hard-to-exaggerate endurance rather than NASA facilities or corporation troops and you should be able to keep all templates in perspective.
Before defining templates, a template not mentioned is one of community service that I wish everyone that can would participate. I've lost count of the years that my husky and I clean up the blocks in our area daily. Sounds like a lot of work, but it's practically effortless. Done daily, it's a nit. If you're reading this, here's the template for that: Why not grab a bag and when you go for your walk—with all due caution and being ever safety conscious—when you can, pick up the plastic and glass on your path and at the very least toss it in the garbage or, if practical for you, toss it into the right recycle containers. And if you're a smoker, please toss your smoke packaging where you can eventually put in it in the garbage. It's a big deal. If you can't do this safely, don't. There are plenty of able-bodied humans on Earth to pick up after you; but those in the 'can't do this' bracket, I'm guessing, is less than 1%.
Obviously, it wouldn't be necessary if those who toss things into our environment would simply pause and put the plastic or glass in a trash container (obviously, why not all trash). But you know and I know that 'that just ain't gonna happen' everywhere. IQ's and the sub-divisions of IQ are various versions of the bell curve and that's just a fact of life that we can all manage if we all stay involved. That's because the rest of us who can safely do a bit more than cleaning up after ourselves can clean the planet up in no time and keep it that way. It would go a long way to saving lives and money globally, and indefinitely. The alternative is pathetic and so effortlessly avoidable.
What are templates? Visualize the following as in-your-minds' divisions, which defines E&S Divisions:
At Earth and Space (E&S), a template is an internal program that a) includes two or more E&S Divisions: Space, Air & Sea, and Land and b) is not fully implemented. Independent elements of the template may be fully implemented.
Examples of templates:
1) Simplest examples:
- No elements of a multiple division expansion are fully implemented.
- All elements of a multiple division expansion are completed but at least one element is not tested, verified, or implemented.
2) General example:
- An expansion that includes any multiple combination of Space, Air & Sea, and Land Divisions where at least one element is not tested, verified, or implemented.
3) Incomplete Space endeavors that consist of only tested, verified, and implemented Air & Sea and/or Land elements can be templates per the above if those elements have not been tested, verified, and implemented for Space.
Examples that are not a template:
1) The novel "Down to Earth" was written from December 2013 to March 2014, US copyright 2016, and will be published in 2024. This project was reviewed at multiple continents by multiple relevant entities. It is not a template. It is independent.
2) An E&S lunar transport vehicle concept that utilizes the Moons unique environment for speed and efficiency is singularly a Space Division endeavor, thus not a template even though incomplete.
3) A complete multi-division expansion where all elements are tested, verified, and implemented is no longer a template. It is an integrated multi-division capability. Such expansions can be independent operations, services, products, and/or trademark business activities or licensed use capabilities.
Any incomplete independent project isn't a template, rather each an ambition in progress...or a dream on the hunt for assistance, the essence of E&S to date.
